we quite enjoyed our stay here.room and en-suite clean and comfortable, breakfast and evening meals excellent, some parts of the hotel looking a bit tired, staff all very nice and friendly. downside, total lack of places to visit in the surrounding area, wouldn't recommend staying here for a holiday, we were attending a family occassion nearby so it met our needs. Thank you all at the Greville Arms.
As part of our booking we recieved a free breakfast each morning which consisted of a fry or cereal. We had the fry each morning and I found the food not only delicious but we also recieved generous helpings. You are also provided with toast, tea or coffee and juice along with your breakfast.
For dinner you can choose to eat at the pub within the hotel or there is a restraunt which was slightly more expensive. We ate at the pub called 'Bar food' which was quiet and very welcoming. The food was gorgeous though the only downside was that the menu placed within our room showed different food than the actual menu within the bar; though it could be used as a guide to how much the meals cost.
The rooms are comfortable and tidy and are equip with a tv which has several t.v channels. There are connections at the back of the tv if you wish to plug in a dvd device etc. I brought my PS2 and was able to watch films I bought from the local xtra vision and also play games when I was bored; I couldn't really go out exploring because I had an operation.
I also found the staff to be very helpful and allowed us to borrow cutlery and plates to eat the chinese (Lotus Garden Restaurant beside xtra vision it's soo tasty) we bought from up the road that we wanted to eat in our room :D.
After a four day stay I can say overall that this is a lovely hotel with delicious food, spotless rooms and helpful staff.
