"The hotel and room were well cared for and clean, however the room smelled musty, probably because of an older rug or maybe pet situation. Otherwise it was a fine stay."

"Excellent location very convenient to the downtown mall area as well as lots of restaurants on Main Street, which was an easy walk. We stayed in the library loft, which was perfect as we had an upstairs sleeping area and a separate downstairs with 2 bathrooms. Breakfast is included at Farm Bell Kitchen every morning, which is well worth it. Also, parking was included, which is a great perk for this area. Will definitely stay here again!"

The staff went above and beyond to greet us. We also ate at the main restaurant Poplar and the food, decor and service was perfect! I’m excited to continue to visit this fantastic addition to the uva community!"

"We stayed in the king suite, upon arrival we noticed a damp/musty smell then we noticed water damage to a wall. Everything in the kitchenette wobbled (fridge, microwave, tea kettle), there were no forks just spoons and knives, no glasses just mugs. The hair dryer had hair stuck in it. No hand soap in the bathroom. The tv screen in the bedroom was cracked/broken. No access to the ice machine after 9pm. Parking was a nightmare. When I asked for a later check out they told me it would be $75 for 1-2 hours. The only thing we liked was the side door to the back parking lot. There should also be a warning that the hotel is adjacent to several frat houses which played music all night. Not the worst cleanliness, but for $200+ a night, not worth it. Our friends stayed at the Graduate and next time we will too."
