"This Dowager hotel has lost her luster. She is tired and rundown. We had to ask for toilet paper during our recent stay of a week. No housekeeping. The thermostat was immovable. The decor is dated. It is in an excellent location. There is no valet parking (or at least there wasn’t when we were there. You had to park in a parking garage. Going in and out and paying each time is ridiculous for a hotel of a caliber it used to be. If location is important, this is a great hotel. If you need parking, amenities and toilet paper, look elsewhere."
"We stayed there overnight after a day-long event at the statehouse. Check-in in was fast and pleasant--the staff is super-helpful and friendly. During check-in, we received a token for a welcome drink--great perk especially after wrapping up a long day! We stayed in a king-bed suite: we loved the modern and sophisticated design of the room and the spacious bathroom with separate tub and shower. Since we were staying on the eighth floor, we were just steps from the rooftop bar, Brass Eye. Dinner and drinks were superb: our faves from the menu were the Breads and Spreads, and the Crispy Cod. We will definitely be back with family--especially since it's just steps from COSI!"
"I only stayed for one night for the Bruno concert, but the staff were super nice, their pool is nice too. It's heated and there's a hot tub. I definitely love that but overall, I would stay there again."
"Curtains would not close, and could not darken the room for sleep. AC unit was in the way. Also, the coffee pot did not work. Would hot heat the coffee. Cold coffee is not great in the morning"
"This is a beautiful historic hotel in downtown Columbus. The staff is incredible but the building is showing its age. The facade and interior show some deterioration and the rooms show wear and tear. The wifi connection was poor, if not unusable, and the fitness center could use some love."
