Known as a ski resort in winter, Mt Buffalo has a lot to offer all year round. It is close enough to Bright for it to be an easy day trip up if you want to stay in hotels, if you are the type that love camping then it has an amazing camping ground. The park is dotted with some of the best walking trails that I have been on and some of the most amazing views. Mt Buffalo has it all, stunning vistas of the surrounding valleys, truely unique rock formations, stunning waterfalls and it is also abundant with native wildlife.

Mount Buffalo National Park is a beautiful place to hike and explore. This was taken from the highest peak in the park. It's not far from the quaint town of Bright, so it's the perfect place to visit in the autumn and enjoy the changing leaves. #SMDdoesOZ #MountBuffalo #Australia

The view over Lake Catani from the Monolith on Mount Buffalo. The hike in is about 15mins from the road, make sure to bring a torch for sunrise/sunset and sturdy shoes. It is a high vantage point with no railings, so care is required, but the views are well worth it.

Rooms smelt amazing when we arrived very clean and the vibe at Hara House was really nice. The pool and spa were great, and there’s a hidden walking track along the river just behind the property which was a bonus. We loved our stay at in a 2 bedroom spa cabin. Cabin was amazingly spacious ...and there was a river and suspension bridge right outside our front door! Beautiful location ...a few minutes drive to Bright, and close to Buffalo Mountain. Manager was amazingly kind and helpful.
