This was such an incredible property. We loved how peaceful it was. It was lovely from start to finish with the greeting from the owner Isabella to the delicious breakfasts to the ocean sounds at night, beautiful cabana, we could not have been happier! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Small but charming bungalows enclose a refreshing pool only 50ft from the beach. Owners are kind and friendly (so are their dogs) and the staff is incredibly pleasant. Expect a dominantly French-speaking clientele, an expectation of quiet and respectful conduct, and otherwise generally European sensibility. We enjoyed the simple continental breakfast, but if you’re someone who likes a big buffet of meat and eggs or wants to stay up partying around the pool then look elsewhere.

Property is off the beaten path, isolated which we liked. My husband spent hours sitting at a cabana watching the wild ocean waves crashing to the shore. They serve breakfast (fruits and jelly), and we ordered omelets for an extra fee. They also serve lunch and dinner except on Sundays. Bring SNACKs. I wish we did. It would have solved a lot of my food cravings.

We liked that it was very quite people wise. Dogs barked quite a bit but since I love animals it was ok. I was very disappointed in our room. It said pool view, you couldn't see the pool. It was upstairs and over the office and next to the owners living quarters. (Not very private) My husband had hip issues and was very painful for him to climb that many steps. The descriptions never mentioned stairs or I wouldn't have booked it. The road to get there was like nothing I've ever seen. We had a rental car and it was rough and full of pot holes and very long.

Lovely Bungalows at the Green Lodge

We stayed in a very nice bungalow for 5 days in February. It was in 80 degrees and humid. It took awhile to cool off the room in the evenings. The hostess spoke English and was very helpful in signing us up for excursions, making recommendations for restaurants etc and renting a car. We were picked up at the lodge for excursions. We enjoyed the snorkeling and garden tours. The pool was clean and warmed by the sun, but refreshing. Breakfast was a lovely assortment of fresh fruits and breads, plus juice, tea & coffee on an open air patio. There was an option for lunch &/or dinner that was quite delicious. There is also a cafe next door (closed on certain days). We rented a car for 2 days, $80./day USD. Free Wi-Fi. The TV was in French with limited channels. The lodge was quiet at night and we slept well. We enjoyed our time there and would stay there again.

Great Location, But Lacking Hospitality! Our recent stay at The Green Lodge was somewhat disappointing. While the location itself is beautiful, it’s quite remote, which added to the inconvenience as there was no food available on-site—a detail we weren’t informed about beforehand. The beach at the lodge is scenic, but if you’re looking to swim, you’ll need to walk about 10 minutes to find small ponds in the ocean near the golf course. The beach directly in front of the lodge isn’t suitable for proper swimming. One of the main issues was the lack of friendliness from the owners, which made the atmosphere feel quite unwelcoming. Throughout our stay, it felt as though the owners’ concerns were prioritized over ensuring a positive guest experience, which was disheartening. One of us stayed in the main house, and the room was far from intimate. The walls were thin, and with the owners staying in the other rooms of the house, it felt more like a shared space than a private getaway. On a positive note, Betty, who took care of breakfast, and Karen were both lovely and welcoming, which helped to balance out some of the negative aspects of our stay. Overall, while the location is remote and tranquil, the lack of hospitality and food options, combined with the feeling of constantly tiptoeing around the owners, left us disappointed. I would advise future guests to read reviews carefully before booking.

Nice stay. Accommodations were pleasant. Limited options at breakfast-fruit and pastries-with an upcharge for eggs. Dinner was extremely limited menu with no options for vegetarians so we had to venture out to eat. Brought food back but were told we had to eat in our room (with no table) because they have a restaurant (which didn’t open for an hour and a half). Pretty beach but rough and did not try to get in.

Beautiful place. Very small. I'm a nonsmoker, so I didn't like that smoking was acceptable on the property. My room was near the dining area, which allowed smoking, so I was trying to enjoy my little patio but couldn't when someone was smoking right next to me. It's very quiet. Nice landscaping. Close to the water and beach. Staff was very friendly but not super available. Just plan ahead as much as possible if you need them for anything.

お部屋は素敵ですが、網戸はないので、夜、虫が入ってきます。日本から、虫除けは持参したので問題はありませんでしたが、いもりなど、嫌いな方は厳しいかと思います。 近くに売店や商店はありません。すぐ横に、食堂が有りますので、朝ご飯以外はその食堂でも食べられますが、食堂が休みだと、タクシーに乗らないと、食堂はありません。 計画的に滞在しないと厳しいと思います。 今は、夜ご飯は、予約しても提供はしていないそうです

Le lodge est un véritable paradis. 4 bungalows sont disposés autour de la piscine avec vue sur la mer. On entend le bruit du ressac - un merveilleux repos. Tout le monde est très gentil et serviable. Le petit déjeuner est petit mais bon avec du café, des confitures locales et des fruits. La belle plage de Temae, qui se prête bien à la baignade en raison de son lagon, est accessible à pied en 20 minutes environ. Possibilité de dîner uniquement au restaurant "Motu Grill", situé juste à côté. Alors qu'il était fermé un soir, le propriétaire Jean-Luc a proposé un fabuleux menu fait maison - merci pour cela. Pour une visite au supermarché, d'autres possibilités de repas, le village,… on a besoin d'un vélo/ scooter/ voiture - peut être organisé sur place. Situation à côté d'un petit aéroport, mais il y a peu de trafic aérien et ne derange pas. Moi, j'ai bien commencé mes vacances.

Points positifs : infrastructure très bien, piscine agréable, belle chambre avec frigo, petit déjeuner très bien et repas du soir proposé de bonne qualité. Petite structure au calme. Wir haben unsere Flitterwochen auf Moorea und Tahiti verbracht und haben währenddessen in der Green Lodge 10 Nächte übernachtet . Erstmal das Positive: die polynesischen Mitarbeiterinnen und vorallem auch die Rezeptionskraft sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit gewesen. Unser Bungalow war auf dem ersten Blick sehr schön, es hat eine schöne ruhige Lage, man hört das Meer rauschen und es wirkt sehr naturfreundlich, jedoch war es nicht sauber, wir hatten in der ersten Nacht eine Ameisenplage (ich rede nicht von 2-3 Ameisen, die mal hier und da krabbeln!) und die Besitzer der Anlage hat es wenig interessiert, sie haben uns lediglich Insektenspray in die Hand gedrückt - das wars. Am nächsten morgen, nachdem wir noch einmal darauf hingewiesen hatten, wurden die toten Ameisen weggeräumt, aber auch nicht alle, die Tür war selbst nach der Reinigung immer noch voller toter Ameisen. Es werden Strandhandtücher gestellt, die wir aber bei Verschmutzung bezahlen mussten (obwohl vorher gesagt worden ist, dass die Handtücher zum Strand mitgenommen und benutzt werden dürfen! Außerdem sind 45€ Reinigungskosten für 2 Handtücher, die vorher schon Flecken hatten, schon ziemlich viel..) Wir haben einen Ausflug über das Hotel gebucht, bei dem der Beginn früh am Morgen war, auf unsere Frage ob es denn möglich wäre 15 min früher zu frühstücken, wurde uns gesagt, dass dies nicht möglich ist. Desweiteren bietet das Bungalow sehr wenig Platz für Gepäck.

Close to the beach is a plus but the beach around the island has alot of Corrales had to visit the Sofitel for better swimming area. I didnt like the lack of lunch or Diner option at Green Lodge had to make other arrangements at other location around Moorea.

Absolutely beautiful! The owners are wonderful and sweet. I ate dinner at the lodge one night, cooked by the owner, it was one of the best and fanciest food I had ever had, absolutely delicious!! The lodge property is like a complete vibe. It is quiet, peaceful, comfortable and just gorgeous. Even the hand soap in my room was like smelling paradise! The beach, the pool always warm and peaceful. I would absolutely recommend Green Lodge to family and friends looking to relax in paradise, walk on a long quiet beach and decompress. Just a gem!

This property is wonderful for the vacationer ready to chill out & not go anywhere. I wouldn’t suggest it for kids, or as an adventure jump off point for lots of excursions since no tour companies will pick you up at the property but make you walk 0.7 miles down a gravel road to an intersection. You cannot swim in the ocean right in front of the property due to the current being dangerous, but you can wade in a mile down the beach on either side. This is a good place for those wanting to just relax, have peace & quiet, with a lovely view. Accommodations are breathtakingly gorgeous.
