We chose the Lattice Inn because it was a B&B in a nice neighborhood, yet convenient to downtown Montgomery. It is situated in the Garden District and nearby Cloverdale, which are beautiful, comfortable neighborhoods .
The inn is a charming cottage with a welcoming front porch, spacious rooms that are nicely furnished with comfortable beds and wonderful common space, that is as nice as you'll expect to see. There was even an in- ground pool which we didn't use, even though it nearly hit 90 degrees while we were there in early November.
Jim (owner and innkeeper) is most welcoming, with lots of good ideas on restaurants and things to do (including the free downtown parking pass). He gave us wonderful breakfasts (frittata, grits, biscuits, fruit) that set you on your way. We enjoyed the time he spent chatting with us, as well as the time we spent talking with other guests, as well.
We feel that we found one of the nicest spots yo stay in Montgomery. We highly recommend, without any second thoughts.
