Nice stay in Santa Elena

It's a basic hotel with friendly owners and a cute little dog. The room has little room, as the beds (3 in every room) take up most of the space. The breakfast is simple, primarily eggs, fruit and toast. It is a great option if you are looking for a budget place to stay with decent beds and a warm shower. It can be a bit noisy in the morning.

Das ganze wirkte auf mich ein wenig lustlos. Zimmer düster kein Platz für Sachen, nur 4 Betten in kleinem Zimmer. Ich würde nicht mehr hinfahren.

Empfehlenswert mit kleinen Abstrichen.

Eine schöne Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichem Inhaber (Freddie). Wir haben mit ihm eine Birdwatchingtour gemacht was wir jedem empfehlen können. Unser Zimmer (Nr. 4) hatte glücklicherweise drei Betten denn sonst hätten wir gar keine Ablagemöglichkeiten gehabt. Einen Spiegel gibt es nur in dem sehr kleinen Badezimmer, das ebenfalls keinerlei Ablagen hat. Das klingt jetzt etwas negativ, soll aber nur den Zustand realistisch beschreiben. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und von Freddie, der sehr gut englisch spricht, jede erdenkliche Hilfe bekommen. Vielen Dank dafür.

Go on Freddy's bird tour!

Great location in Santa Elena, perfect base for exploring the cloud forest/Monteverde area. Short walk to local restaurants and buses. Very clean and breakfast cooked to order at whatever time you choose. The owner Freddy is really kind and helpful, absolutely recommend his bird tour! We wouldn't have seen anywhere near as much without him and it's so convenient going straight from the hotel with him in the early morning. He is extremely knowledgable about the birds, born and raised in the area. Thank you for a great stay :)

When we arrived to the hotel they didn't know we were coming because they hadn't got our reservation, although I had got the confirmation. Fortunately they had two rooms available. I would have called them because we came pretty late, but there wasn't any telephone number at hotels.com confirmation message. The hotel was neat and clean, but big minus is that there was only cold water in the shower. Breakfast was big and good.
