Rooms were dirty, you could smell bathrooms’s bad smell all the way to entrance door. Very limited breakfast option, staff rude. Booked for 2 queen bedroom but just got one queen and one single bed. No effort made by staff to resolve issues I raise med post check in. I won’t recommend to anyone ! There are other better options around.

We stayed at this place for two nights and we didn't have any complaints. It's situated close enough to the town center, making it easy to walk there, yet far enough to provide some peacefulness. There are some food options nearby and breakfast is provided in the dining room in the morning, which is a nice addition.

Clean, friendly staff and centrally located to restaurants, shops and a grocery. The only negative, no fault of the hotel, is the traffic noise late at night and early morning as windows need to be kept open due to no AC.

Good option for budget. It is worth what it cost. Room was clean, staff were nice. Good access to town. Hot water once i figured it out. Breakfast was good.

Weggestopt in de kelder
We hadden een mooie kamer geboekt volgens het plaatje en de beschrijving, maar we werden weggestopt in de kelder zonder ramen. Meerdere keren ons beklag gedaan maar ze konden er niks aan doen. Ook op een reductie in prijs gingen ze niet in. Rond uit schandalig.

Hotel Casa Madonna was inexpensive and very clean; it was a great place for the money. Expedia screwed up our reservation. We reserved a very specific room and took a picture of it with our reservation. When we got to Casa Madonna, Expedia had booked the wrong room. Hotel Casa Madonna staff changed rooms for us and made a bad situation good.

The property is clean, beds are extremely comfortable and the staff were very accommodating to our needs. The only problem is the motorcycle culture in monteverde and the proximity to the road makes it kind of noisy at night.

Fantastic hotel! Quiet, hot water showers, comfy bed, close to everything including a bus stop to take the local, public bus. Breakfast included, basic but good. Would stay here again!

This is a cute, very clean little hotel. The gal who checked us in was so friendly and kind. They allowed us to check in early to accommodate an activity we had scheduled I would definitely stay here again

Recent June 2023 Stay
My stay was very pleasant. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and hot water perfect. The breakfast offered was standard. The option of pancakes instead of toast was a nice alternative. Pictures on website were accurate. Short walk into town.

The room was clean and well worth the price. Parking was easy. The location is walking distance to lots of restaurants/bars and the Commercial center where there's a supermarket and more restaurants. The breakfast was included and cooked to order. Overall, it was a really great stay.

La propiedad está muy bien mantenida, las habitaciones son limpias y las camas cómodas, el servicio de desayuno fue bueno con dos opciones por día. Las paredes o entrepisos no tienen aislante de ruido por lo que se pueden escuchar las conversaciones y ruidos de otros habitaciones.

Simple and practical. Good options and great price. Lots of flexibility with the kitchen and dinning open room. Board games available to play. No TV, which turned out to be great to focus on resting and going around town. Great choice for a simple and quick vacation!

We rented 2 rooms, one room was ok but the other one had no windows and was smelling very strongly like mold. Unfortunately the staff was not able to find us another room and we had to change the hotel last minute. They were not very helpful in finding a solution and directed us to Expedia for help. Expedia refunded the rooms and helped us find a better hotel last minute.

We showed up several hours before check-in to drop off luggage and the receptionist offered that we check in into our assigned rooms. Breakfast was fantastic too! All staff were pleasant and helpful.

A perfect gem. Location in the center of town. Great parking. Breakfast was awesome. Super clean. Staff was amazing. Check in was a breaze. For the price couldn't ask for more.

Super hôtel avec un personnel présent. Chambre spacieuse et confortable, propre et avec une jolie vue sur les arbres. eau chaude et bonne connexion wifi. il n’y a pas de clim ou de ventilo, mais ça n’a pas été nécessaire pour nous puisque les températures à monteverde sont bien plus basses que dans le reste du pays. petit déjeuner décent, plusieurs places de parking. Endroit assez calme hormis les bruit de la route qui restent supportables. Seuls bémols: les rideaux transparents et le lit qui grince.

Hôtel ideal pour passer une nuit ou deux. Personnel agréable et à l'écoute. Chambre simple mais ca fait l'affaire. La douche est par contre obsolète, il faut se coller au mur pour esperer avoir un peu d'eau. Petit déjeuner typique et copieuc , parfait.

"Kellerzimmer" ohne Fenster
Unser Zimmer war sauber und schön eingerichtet, jedoch ohne Fenster. Ohne Tageslicht und frische Luft fühlt man sich etwas wie im Gefängnis und auch eine Klimaanlage zur Belüftung gibt es nicht. Wir schliefen also mit offener Tür zum Gang um zumindest ein wenig Luft zu bekommen. Eine Zimmervermietung ohne Fenster sollte zumindest vor der Buchung ersichtlich sein, bzw. ein Hinweis darauf erfolgen. Auf den Bildern des Hotels sind große Fenster zu sehen... Diese Zimmer gibt es aber nur wenig... Die Mehrzahl der Zimmer haben kleine Fenster, Fenster zum Gang oder eben überhaupt kein Fenster. Darauf sollte hingewiesen werden!!! Wir würden nicht nocheinmal buchen.

Place was family run. Free breakfast was decent, they ask you what time and have it ready (6-10am). Place seemed clean. Walkable to city center. Not high end, but good enough.

Hotel Casa Madonna is staffed by a wonderful group of people, presumably a family, that are respectful and extremely helpful. Any question I asked, they found an answer, and any request I made, they did their best to honor. Breakfast was typical tico, WiFi was present although did not always reach all rooms, and location was very convenient for walking the town or getting picked up by a private or semi private van service (i.e. Interbus) I thoroughly enjoyed staying at my hotel.

I loved how close and easily accessible the location was to main attractions. I also loved how attentive the staff was. They always provided us with tips and booked all of out tours/transportation without additional cost. The breakfast was also delicious !!!
