"Standard Room. Room itself had some damage (peeled paint, stained carpet) bed was comfortable and clean. Bathroom/shower was nice. View of the ocean was wonderful. No mini fridge, ice machine, or water refills so plan ahead (there is a cash only vending machine for bottled water and snacks) Staff was kind and helpful. Bar drink prices were reasonable for a hotel bar."

"Good size of double room with extra single bed. Excellent view of the harbour. During the heatwave (26C) the lack of aircon was a downside. Friendly welcome from Christine on Reception. Good choice of hot or continental breakfast. The dinner was good but not great. Street parking was a little tight."

"Very safe property with motion activated lights on all stairways, fire extinguishers, railings on stairs, things of that nature. Is close to town and very walkable. There’s a grocery store nearby, Aldi, and close to restaurants and pubs. I liked how they had French presses to do wonderful coffee in the morning."

"My wife and I had a tremendous weekend in Donegal Town. The Abbey Hotel was a perfect base with the square right out front of the Hotel. The room was huge with a very comfortable bed. We were there to see Onoir, but the hotel also had live Irish music playing in afternoon and evening. It was great. But the real star is the Hotel porter, Patrick. He could not have done anymore for us, always stopped to chat and ask if we needed anything. My wife was feeling the heat, Patrick went out his way to...

"Good location. The spacious and modern apartments are situated right in the center. Excellent beds. Mini fridge. Parking is available right outside. A good base for exploring the south of County Donegal. The town itself is small and lively."

"It was hard to find parking, super hot, the hotel was a sauna, we couldn’t open the windows and were given a small fan! The lobby and bar which only had the A/C in the entire hotel was filled with the customers. Restaurant was the only plus in the whole place"

La chambre est un peu étroite ainsi que le lit. Un peu bruyante à cause de la route et de la Salle de bain mitoyenne à la chambre. Quand quelqu'un prend sa douche à minuit, ce n' est pas top."

"All the staff, in particular David, were incredibly helpful, professional & thoughtful. A minor personal crisis occurred and David could not have been more thoughtful & understanding. The hotel is perfectly located. The suite had everything we needed and the massive bed was super comfy. I cannot recommend this place enough."
