"We had an amazing stay at Shalom House. Check in/out was seamless. Michael was very responsive. Liz was the best! She was very accommodating, helpful and made sure our needs were quickly met. We enjoyed our morning conversations! The room was clean and comfortable. The location is quiet and safe. The local breakfast menu was fresh and authentic. This will definitely be our "go to" place to stay whenever we're in Trinidad. Thank you for a wonderful experience!"

"The space is great it needs updating though. I saw from last year other guests suggested a few things that would make a guest’s stay much more enjoyable but those things one year later has not been done. We stayed for carnival and the distance to events held in the Savannah was amazing. Message to the owner(s) toilet paper holder, towel rack, shower door or curtain, spray for ants, fix bathroom door so it can close properly, a/c in living room, new pots, paper plates, plastic forks, kettle...

The neighborhood did not seem safe, and there were no restaurants in close proximity, so a car is needed. Recommend for those not wanting to stay in Port of Spain. "There was no wifi in the room I booked the superior king size room. The staff at front desk was not avaialable for assistance. At all times. Ask to transfered to another room or down sized to smaller room for wifi access. Response . Was nothing she do wait for manager to come . After paying the 256 canadadian dollars was not happy with the reception."

"This was my second time staying at the hotel. It was lovely. The staff were great, very friendly. The pool was beautiful but the hot tub was just a small pool this time, the heat and jets weren't working. The bar wasn't open, so we had to go to the lobby for drinks. Otherwise it was still a good stay, had lots of fun, and we were both very relaxed by the end of our stay. Big ups to the staff for dealing with me and my husband 🙏❤️"

"For a quick bed and breakfast overnight stay, this place does the job. The rooms aren't bad, and the bed comfortable. The drive is about 10 minutes from the hotel. While they do offer hotel shuttle it was hard to identify the driver. Additionally, the person at the front desk isn't always there when needed. The breakfast was good. Overall its a place you can go to for your overnight stay. "

For a place like Trinidad where decent and civil customer service is a foreign and unknown concept; Hyatt's service makes you feel like they're happy to have and accommodate you.
