"Room, bathroom and bedding were all clean. You can see recent updates have been made and all standard room items were newer (fridge, TV, microwave, coffee maker). Outside property could use some sprucing up, mainly picking up the random 2x4s laying around and lawn/weed care.
Check-in was pretty smooth, staff I met were friendly! Overall a good experience for the price and I appreciated being able to bring my dog."
"I would consider staying here again, but it was a little bit of a mixed bag.
The parking lot is in poor shape, but that could be expected in an area with harsh winters.
Housekeeping did a great job. Even though my room faced the major intersection nearby, it was quiet. The hotel location is good; near Bemidji State and downtown.
The major downside during my stay was a poorly draining bathtub.
I was surprised to smell marijuana during my stay. There were no smoking signs on all the doors. I have asthma, but luckily I didn't have any issues."
"First stay ever. Others had mentored that the place was rough in the past. It is now a Marriott and very comfortable. Super clean, fresh smelling, very updated. Delicious breakfast, good coffee, quiet. A very safe and enjoyable stay. I will be back!"
"Nice hotel, staff was rarely at the front desk though. Hallways and elevators were extremely hot, I don't think the AC was working. Thermostat in my room wasn't able to be adjusted, but the temp was far better than the hallways."
SouthShore Hotel on Lake Bemidji, Trademark Coll by Wyndham
10/10 Excellent
"We were very pleased with our stay here. Everything was very clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They were currently doing renovations but you couldn’t hear anything from inside the rooms. When a piece of equipment was parked behind my car, the workers immediately stopped and moved so I could get out. Again, very friendly. Breakfast was nice & it was nice having a dinning option attached so we didn’t have to leave. I would definitely stay here again. Bonus- for $4 more per night we got a larger room with chair, couch, desk -a definite a plus to have some place cozy to sit instead of the bed."
