"Great hotel if you are visiting McGill, want to stroll around Mount Royal or do some shopping at the Eaton Centre. The hotel has an attached cafe which was great for morning croissants, lunch sandwiches and was the latest opening cafe in the area. Staff were fun and friendly. Renovation work at the hotel meant only one door was working, one elevator was out of order but nothing that couldn't be overcome. The room was large and the beds comfortable. I'd stay here again."

"Nice room, cutrains were a bit off their rod. Adjusting the temp of the room was difficult. It was very warm when i got in, too warm for sleeping. The thermostat was confusing/difficult to adjust. We got in very late feom a flight and I didnt have the patience to fight with it. Other than that, the bed was amazing."

"Room was clean but other areas of hotel were not - elevator/pool. I was given an option on the Expedia site to have breakfast included so I paid for this option online, but the hotel didn't know what I was talking about and neither did the restaurant. The restaurant server was the worst service I have ever had in any restaurant in my life. We were there 4 nights and our card key for the room had to be reset every day we returned from our daily outing. Two out of about ten of the staff I spoke with were friendly - the rest I felt like I was bothering them with pretty basic requests. "

"Well maintained and charming old hotel. Comfortable bed, views, storage, wet/dry bar. Loved the spa type shower and high end toiletries. But, above anything else, the staff in both the hotel and restaurant (Brassiere 701) deserve special recognition. From top to bottom everyone was extremely well trained, professional, accommodating and most of all friendly (everything done with a smile which should brighten anyone’s day). I would not hesitate to stay here again and am already planning a family trip here. Oh. And I almost forgot, the location is awesome. Very walkable for plenty of sight seeing, shopping and dining (at all levels). "
