"The Tower Motel is in a great location, just minutes from downtown, restaurants and cafes and from all kinds of wonderful hikes as well as Hobbiton The rooms were sparkling clean and the little kitchenettes had every amenity. We would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Madamata area."

"The room was very clean and well-equipped but really could benefit from some refurbishment. The bed was comfortable and made up daily to a very high standard. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water The receptionist was pleasant and welcoming and the cleaning staff were helpful and responsive. Overall, this is a very good place to stay. "

"Staff very friendly! Craig and Sunny were amazing! Great food, the cheese garlic toasties were my fav ☺️ great walking distance for Matamata info center for Hobbiton tour. Got back late and felt safe walking back in the dark."

"Good parking and great early check in support. They rang to advise when room was ready.. Got upgraded, room was a little tired but clean. Nice toiletries. Had dinner there that night, food was very good, we did shared plates. Charges were reasonable. I had prepaid for the breakfast, sadly that was mediocre not worth the price. Overall Lower score as the restaurant staff at both sittings were terrible. Had to keep calling them for service. The manager on the Friday morning was very rude...
