This hotel and the family that own it are wonderful. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. It is a few minutes from the city center but worth it. Their staff are so very nice, from the ladies that served us coffee every morning, to the bartenders serving us wine at night.

Nothing like the pictures, certainly not exquisite

We were excited about this hotel given the pictures and description on Hotels.com. On arrival at 9pm, having had difficulty getting into the hotel (the doors were locked and closed and the place looked shut! There’s also another part to the hotel across the road which looked unwelcoming, we tried there too in case there was another reception) eventually someone came to the door, unlocked and removed the obstacles behind the door to allow us to enter. He then checked us in. The hotel is dowdy and the room was dark, dingy and dated. Not at all what we expected. The ‘feel’ of the place and the area put us on edge, as we are not familiar the locale. We immediately decided to check out and booked another hotel, even though we would lose our money on this one. The hotel we moved to (the Lindgart) was much nicer and welcoming (and the reception was open!) The guy on reception did try to help and offer us another room, but unless he was going to relocate the hotel, decorate and refurbish, there’s not much he could do to put this right. I’d say it’s a fine hotel for contractors, but not quite the romantic getaway the pictures would have you believe.

Das Personal sowie auch die Inhaber sind sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Hotel hat den Charme der 80er Jahre. Die Möbel im Zimmer sind in Ordnung, die Einzelbetten mit 90cm Breite, für jemanden, der das sonst nicht hat, etwas schmal. Mit der Matratze sind wir auch nicht so gut zurechtgekommen. Ein schmales dünnes Kissen war zu wenig. Im Großen und Ganzen war es sauber. Mit den Fugen der Fliesen im Duschbereich müsste man etwas sorgfältiger bzgl. der Schimmelbildung umgehen. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt hat es uns genügt.

Den Preis nicht wert

Bereits beim Check in war man hilflos und überfordert. Das Ganze zog sich durch den Abend mit Dinner und Getränken. Es war ca. 19:00 und man konnte mir nur einen Salat anbieten. Die Küche war schon kalt. Der Service war erschreckend. Man war in Panik als es 20:00 wurde und man versuchte Gäste zum Abschied zu bewegen. Und das trotz online angegebener Öffnungszeit bis 23:00. An einem Samstag Abend. Ein heilloses Durcheinander. Mein Check out war lange vor dem Frühstücksservice daher keine Meinung dazu. Auch Pool / Sauna im Keller des Hauses habe ich nicht angesehen. Aber das Chlor war in der Luft wahrzunehmen. Man suggerierte ich könne den Pool noch für einige in den bis zur Schließung verbleibenden Minuten ab Check in nutzen, und um Zeit zu sparen ja auch gleich dort duschen ohne überhaupt erst aufs Zimmer zu gehen. Damit würde ich noch rechtzeitig die oben erwähnte Mahlzeit zu mir nehmen können. Das Bett war mit das unbequemste überhaupt. Matratze weich und durchgelegen und, wie in vielen deutschen Hotels leider üblich, bekommt man nur ein einziges flaches Kissen. Null Kopf- und Nackensupport. Allgemein sind Zimmer und Anlage doch recht in die Jahre gekommen. Gutes und unterhaltsames Hotel weil man hinterher kopfschüttelnd Geschichten darüber zu erzählen hat.

Hotellet er lidt af den hengemte slags og bærer præg af sin alder. Når det er sagt, så fejler servicen bestemt ikke noget – vi følte os virkelig godt taget imod af hele teamet, både dem bag receptionen og personalet i restauranten. Maden om aftenen og til morgen var også virkelig god. Klassisk, solid tysk husmandskost. Men hvis man er på jagt efter luksus, er det ikke her, man skal tage hen.

Alles sehr langsam! Kein Hotel für Außendienstler!

Die können hier keine Rechnungen schreiben. Jedes Mal wenn man in diesem Hotel ist, dauert es über eine Stunde bis eine Rechnung ausgestellt ist. Und diese Rechnung ist dann falsch geschrieben. Ohne firmenadresse, ohne Name. Um eine neue Rechnung auszustellen, muss der Chef des Hotel kommen. Bis er da ist, dauert es weitere halbe Stunde. Bis der Chef eine neue Rechnung ausgedruckt hat, dauert es weitere halbe Stunde. Katastrophe ist dieses Hotel!

Mir wurden zwei Zimmer ungereinigte Zimmer gegeben bevor ich eins bekommen habe, dass wenigstens halb geputzt wurde. Ich habe für ein Doppelzimmer mit Balkon bezahlt, habe dann aber nur ein einfaches Doppelzimmer bekommen. Ein Preiserlass wurde mir nicht angeboten.
