"There were ants in the bed, bathroom etc. We had a couple of rooms and it had ants in both of them. Basic amenities were not present - Shampoo was there but had to call them to get conditioner. Bell boys were amazing and very helpful, but the rest of the staff was only okay to deal with. AC didn't work in the room for the first night and then had to call someone to fix it the next day. Overall, avoid the hotel if you can."

Everything was high tech and top quality, and the location was unbeatable, just steps away from the ferry port and the main attractions in the island. Breakfast was great, and service fantastic, including awesome recommendations for tour guides and restaurants. Overall, an outstanding experience in Hvar, and could not recommend Villa Porta Maestra enough."

"The host met us at the ferry. Explained how to get places and on the last day took us to our excursion. He offered to store our luggage and bring to the ferry later. The place was convenient to everything and clean. I’d stay here again!"

"We stopped off in Hvar for a couple of nights en-route from Dubrovnik to Split and so glad we chose Dela. We had such a relaxing time there. It is a family run establishment and they really go out of their way to help and make your stay special. The Dela is located up a hill just out of town but the family are always on hand to pick you up or drop you off. We were picked up from the ferry and after dining out in the old town so nothing to worry about, it's a pleasant walk downhill into town...

"The apartment was ok very small but it work location great- only thing is be prepared to bring coffee, sugar and all your essentials it was empty normally I leave behind coffee or sugar for the next guess but here clearly nothing is left behind…but overall good experience"

"The room was very spacious and clean. It was in the heart of everything! We were only one minute away from the best restaurants, the marina, the beach, the grocery store to stock up on drinks / waters. It was only a minute away from Lola's a fun bar just up the stairs. The management team was so generous to give us extra time in the morning to pack up and catch the ferry. I highly recommend staying here!"

"The view from the room is lovely. The kitchen has the basics, plenty for breakfast and lunch. Without a car, there are many, many steps from the town center to the apartment. The landlord was exceptionally knowledgeable. Our ferry was cancel because of wind. She drove us across the island to the port where the car ferry was running. "

The location is ideal: central, convenient, and still peaceful. Marina and her husband were outstanding hosts, incredibly kind and attentive, and they continued to help me even after my departure when I realized I had forgotten a few items. Truly one of the best accommodations I’ve experienced."
