"The hotel was full of character. The bar was wonderful. Full of dark panelling and leather sofas. The food was excellent The staff were really nice. The bed was comfy and it was so quiet. The hotel is getting a make over and it will be super but I like it's old worldly charm now. "A wonderful stay. Staff were so friendly and very helpful, nothing was a problem for them. Accommodation was very clean, powerful shower. Bar and food menu extensive, with a park for children. Near to Warton, Lytham and Lytham St Anne's. An excellent location. Would totally recommend."

"It was just lovely here. The room was great, clean and had quite a few little touches that I found very thoughtful. The code to get in will not work until check in time though… it’s automated, we were about 10mins early and it didn’t open the door. A cleaner let us put our things inside. I would recommend and choose to stay here again."

The breakfast was delicious and the portions are hearty indeed! There is a family friendly / homely bar area with a pool table. The pool and the drinks were very reasonably priced. "From check in to check out, our 3 night weekend stay at the Ruskin was perfect. All staff were really friendly and very helpful. All food and drink provided, breakfast and bar snacks were delicious with great choices and again served "with friendly and genuine smiles". The standard twin room was perfectly adequate, with all you need and comfortable mattresses for great sleeps too. Efficient lifts to our second floor room. Will hopefully be returning, maybe even later this year. Highly recommend...
