I recently stayed at Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell for six nights and it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I’m a commercial pilot who travels often, and I’ve never encountered service this poor. The hotel listed amenities like in-room massages, Netflix, Hulu, and free bottled water on Expedia—none of which were actually available. Even the “free” water cost $4 plus a delivery fee. When I asked the front desk, they casually pointed out that many listed amenities didn’t exist.
Service was unacceptable. We tried calling the front desk over 20 times—no answer. We finally got through the emergency line, and they promised a callback that never came. When we went down, we saw three staff standing around ignoring ringing phones.
The room wasn’t clean. The floors leaked brown liquid and we had to use towels just to walk. Housekeeping never showed up despite daily requests. When they finally did, it was while we were in towels getting ready—completely inappropriate.
After checkout, I noticed a $143.11 charge. I called and was hung up on, told they couldn’t find my booking, and eventually told it was an “accident.” I was refunded—until I wrote a Google review. Then they took the refund and my deposit back. The timing is suspicious at best.
This hotel is dishonest, mismanaged, and a total scam. Avoid at all costs.
