"This is a really lovely hotel. Nice bed and bedding and spotless room and bathroom. Staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Proper service and a reminder of how hotels used to be be. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended."

"Fantastic night at this recently refurbished hotel, slight worry about noise on arrival as all guests rooms are above a busy bar but soundproofing was first rate and not a sound could be heard in the rooms. Staff friendly and welcoming. Would recommend if ever in the area, im sure we will be back!"

"we booked last minute and didnt have any expectations but as we walked along the SW Coastal path and suddenly spotted the hotel we knew it was going to be good and it was even better Lovely staff, food and rooms and hot baths."

"Stayed for one night en route to a North Devon holiday. The room was excellent, spacious, clean and well laid out. A very comfy bed meant a good night's sleep. Bathroom even had a bath. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a very good meal. Breakfast was also excellent with a great choice all freshly cooked. Plenty of easy parking and outdoor space. Definitely worth staying and would do so again."

"It was nice that their was a key safe for entry. Able to park outside the door although not guaranteed. Ideal location base for visiting various places. It was clean and tidy with comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything that would be needed. Would definitely stay here again."

"We received a warm and friendly welcome on arrival. The shower was amazing and after walking a big section of the SWCP it was very welcomed. Sadly we ran out of puff to enjoy the pool (indoor and outside). The ability to park and leave vehicles there was an added benefit. The bar menu offered great choices, and the breakfast was a pleasant treat. I would deffo recommend and be more than happy to return next time I am in the area."
