Wonderful location and property. Staff were so attentive, greeting us you upon arrival and throughout our stay. They went out of their way to ensure we were having a great stay. We have stayed before but this time it lost its charm. The attention to detail was the charm of the hotel which was lost. The breakfast was previously in Kathleen’s kitchen and was the primary reason we rebooked - this time it was in the golf club and it was terrible - both service and food quality. The Carton House was a highlight of our trip to Ireland. The staff were attentive and kind, the hotel itself is gorgeous, and they have the most beautiful walking trails into the nearby town of Maynooth. We had an early flight with our young children in the morning, and the staff prepared breakfast to go for the car. Every detail was on point. Would recommend and stay at the Carton House again!

We fancy!

We’ve never stayed at a 5 star hotel before so felt a bit out of our element. No one treated us as such though. The staff was amazing. The place was beautiful. The meals were incredible. You got to learn the history of the place in multiple ways. Location would have been easier if we’d had our own car, but it was well worth the extra effort to get there via taxi/train combo.

Gorgeous site, comforable rooms , great bed, and bathroom beautiful pool and qell equipped spa. Wonderful quiet place to relax. Amazing restaurant and service. Good golf. Not far from Dublin and airport. Nice hiatorical place.

Overnight stay

We had a good stay. We were disappointed by the spa facilities which felt a little tired. We enjoyed the Carriage house restaurant. Breakfast was average.
