"From the moment we arrived, we felt we were at a magical hotel that was so warm and cozy. Staff are wonderful and very helpful. Our room was really nice and we enjoyed staying there. The room had dishware to use and you get a daily refresh. (No seafood allowed.) Breakfast is in a very cozy dining room. We would have preferred it open earlier but it is worth waiting for. "Clean!!!! This is our most important criteria for an accommodation and this place is clean!!! The owner is very nice and helpful, making you feel comfortable right away. One thing to improve is to add policy (and sign) for guests to be quiet after certain hours. We had a group coming in at 2am and started sitting in the common room, talking, laughing until 3am. It was pretty frustrating. Overall, great stay! Did we say clean? "

"We booked this for our mini honeymoon the three nights following our wedding (end of Sept) and were excited to stay in the King Suite. But ended up being quite disappointed. The room was very cold with no heat and the front desk person wasn't the nicest when we asked for extra blankets. We weren't expecting the red carpet but at least a "thanks so much for choosing to stay here for your honeymoon". Some of the staff were great but generally no one cared that we had chose Dalvay for our honeymoon...

"Nice property. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint would be that the lighting in the cottages could have been better. The kitchen lights were not placed in good locations making the kitchen dark. No light over the sink and counters so when it was “uncomfortable” prepping meals. "

"One of the best cottages in the Rustico/ Cavendish area! The two bedrooms are perfect for a family and the cottage is spacious with beautiful views. Nice that there's a playground and beautiful path to the water and an outdoor pool and hot tub. Cottage #1 is closest to the road and does get traffic noise but think the higher number cottages are probably very quiet. "
