"This is a lovely hotel. Great situation opposite the castle, so at the top of the hill! Continental breakfast of pastries, fruit, yogurt, cold meats, cheese toast. Plenty to choose from. We had a standard room which was spacious and nicely decorated. Large shower room. The plug sockets had been upgraded to include USB and phone charger sockets so you don’t need a plug. "Very happy with our stay at the castle hotel bailgate. Clean, welcoming, great location. Breakfast was first rate, freshly cooked to order and very tasty. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back if I were to visit again. "

"The room was much more spacious than anticipated. We were a little disappointed that the swimming pool is no longer available as those amenities drew us into the hotel. The hotel is beautiful inside and out and the stay itself was fantastic only the spa and pool amenities that prevented the stay from being a perfect stay. "

"A lovely stay with our Cavalier King Charles dog called Bella. The breakfast's were excellent and there was a good choice for the evening meal. Our room was OK but had a sloping roof and not very easy to stay clear of when getting into and out of bed. The pubs location was good and the journey into Lincoln by car very easy. "
