Maria Cristina Falls is a waterfall of the Agus River on the island of Mindanao. It is sometimes called the "twin falls" as the flow is separated by a rock at the brink of the waterfall.It is a landmark of Iligan City, nicknamed the City of Majestic Waterfalls, because of the presence of more than 20 waterfalls in the city.It is located 9.3 kilometers away southwest of the city proper at the boundaries of Barangays Maria Cristina, Ditucalan, and Buru-un.Well known for its natural beauty and grandeur, the 320 - feet (98 meters) high waterfall is also the primary source of electric power for the city's industries.(Wikipedia)

Hi everyone! Welcome to Maria Cristina Falls. This is the No. 1 falls in Iligan City. It provides power in most places in Mindanao. That's how amazing it is. Maria Cristina Falls is also known as the Twin Falls. A big stone on top separates the two. Iligan City, my city, takes pride on this particular falls. Many people come here for viewing. The place is really big. It even has an ecopark. As you enter the vicinity, you'll be amazed at how cool the whole place is. Trees surround you everywhere!

We came from CDO, took a 1 and 1/2 bus ride to Iligan, then ride a Habal-Habal towards the Tinago Falls. We took around 436 Stairs going down towards the Falls, it was so tiring that I felt that Anyone would quit especially going up. When we arrived to the place, its sooo WORTH IT! The place is nice, they provide a Lifejacket with a Fee and also you can go under the Waterfalls using a Raft with a Small fee or you could go swim towards.
