Let's be honest- this is the most inexpensive lodging on Marathon Key, so set your expectations accordingly. You're staying here because it's more comfortable than sleeping in your car and it comes with a shower. With those expectations set, I was pleasantly surprised to find the property clean, which was my big concern. The staff was very accommodating with my late arrival and very friendly. I wouldn't bring my kids here, as I spoil them too much when we travel, but I'd bring my wife here, as we both like a good deal and this place delivers.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights. Arrived around 6pm, check in was easy, quick and professional. Customer service was excellent. The owner was lovely and very pleasant welcoming us to the Keys and getting us checked in. We were located room 10, our room was clean, the shower was amazing, the pressure and temperature was really good. Yes its a no frills stay but we were really pleased with our stay and it went above our expectations. Location was perfect for us being pretty central, we were able to visit Key West, Islamorada and Key Largo during our stay. There was no issues with parking for us, and the air conditioning was a very welcome treat with the heat we experienced in our time visiting the Florida Keys. We would definitely stay again if were ever in the area again.

The privacy, outdoor was relaxing was able just sit relax while fishing. The place wasn’t clean properly need a freshener up the blanket smell at lease put in dryer after ever use to kill order little bleach will go a long way. The attendant was welcoming and pleasant, easy checking in.

Would Definitely Stay Again

Jim and Mike are great! Nice guys very welcoming and friendly. This is basic lodging. It’s clean. We booked last minute and stayed just one night. Wasn’t expecting much based on some of the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. The place was exactly what we needed. It’s very basic.The price was right especially compared to the really high prices in the keys. Great location, near restaurants. Don’t hesitate to stay here.

You get what you pay for. I was traveling alone so I just needed a place to sleep and shower in the morning. So for $90 out the door, it was a fair place to stay for a fair price. The bed was clean and that is probably one of the most important things. The rest of the room was average cleanliness and I regret looking under the bed as that had not been swept in months. But, it's right next to a gas station with a carryout and beer. You're also within walking distance to both Island Fish Company & Sparky's Landing which both have good food. I wouldn't take my wife there, but I would stay there again while traveling alone without hesitation.

I’m really sorry to say it was a sub standard room for the price we paid. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and cheap. The room was not very clean. It was very stained and maintenance at minimal was below standard, I find it hard to write A bad review. The gentleman that checked us in was very kind and very helpful, maybe trying their best, but for the price of that room and the quality that we were exposed to it was not equal.

The Real Florida Keys

Amazing. Great place the Real Florida Keys! The room #5 was huge plenty of room. Shower was nice and large also. The place was spotless. Has a fridge and TV nice sitting chair small wicker bench was cute and enjoyed! Has a nice size table with a couple chairs. The porch is big also was nice and clean with table and chairs. This place is the real deal keys. I just stayed 8-26-23 this is a honest review. This will be a go 2 for me. Heck I want to work here it's was so neat and cool of a place! Don't believe everything you read some people can't be satisfied. You want authentic Florida keys here it still is. Remember the hurricanes really hurt the keys they need our help to keep coming back and enjoy all the hard work they have put into keeping this place open. Thank you for the hospitality.
