"A lot of ants inside the room. We needed to pay for the air conditioning 8€ per day which is not in the description. We stayed 3 days and the day after we asked for towels change then they said they change towels every 2 days. After 2 days we asked for new towels then I had to hear that i got only 1 day left before check out and they don’t charge towels when we got only 1 day left. Really weird rules. "

"C’était un endroit sympathique et accueillant. Je remercie le personnel de l’hôtel qui a pris le temps de répondre à nos nombreuses questions et qui a su nous diriger au mieux. Je mettrais un petit point d’attention sur le fait qu’il manquait deux trois étagères et crochet dans les chambres pour faire sécher ou poser nos vêtements, ainsi que dans la salle de bain pour les affaires de toilettes. Mais sinon très bon hôtel bien situé à Malia ! "

"The apartment is right by the beach which is perfect! Upon arrival (12:00) we received a warm welcome. We were taken to the bar since we arrived quite early. They had given us a banana/fruit drink while we waited for our room to be ready. We sat down and enjoyed the ocean view. Approximately at 13:00 we went up to our room. "Fantastic family stay at Mitsis Laguna. We're a family of 4 and we spent 5 nights at the hotel. The facilities were fantastic and the food incredible. We enjoyed the activities: tennis, ping pong, water polo, darts, evening entertainment and had a really nice time. The only things to potentially improve: (1) the room balcony was small and could only fit 2 people (2) there is one water slide - which is already nice. But having more than one and slightly larger slides would have been even better "

"Everything was perfect. I would just recommend a few things for the hotel 1. Have water stations by pools. It's very hot and we shouldn't be waiting in line for 10 minutes just to get water 2. You need more staff around the bar if the hotel is busy. I shouldn't wait 15 mins to get a drink. 3. The water in the pools is very cold and wasn't too enjoyable. 4. There should be more beer options on the all inclusive menu 5. The restaurants in the hotel should be accepting guests based on empty spaces and should be able to go every night and not one restaurants per week. If it is all inclusive I should be able to go to a restaurant as many times as I want during my stay and it shouldn't be through the app. 6. There should be a snack bar or even a few with real snacks, like sandwiches and crisps and chocolate. These are just some ideas so make the place even more perfect Thanks for everything "

"Stayed as a family of 4 for 9 days in mid August 2025, 2 adults and 2 children. Positives: Remote hill top location in Old Town Malia (10/10). Villas with private 10m to 15m length pools (10/10). Overall the teams were very helpful and did their best to support. Amazing views of Malia from your balcony from the hill top location (10/10). Notable mentions; Alexia at the front desk, New lady in the restaurant from Romania, Male supervisor / manager who helped us after we got locked out of the villa with 2 keys at night. Private pool chemical level being checked. Met the new owner at dinner whilst the teams were stressfully trying to work out our bill for a new menu and he said he his aware of what they need to improve on and service is not were he wants it to be. Negatives: Attention to detail I.e. 1 bed was missing its top cover for the first 3 nights. Very easy to lock yourself out of the villa because of the safety feature on the doors. Service in the restaurant needs to be improved / missed opportunity from the hotel due to isolated location. Catering options are very limited / Menu cards are confusing / Not clear what you have ordered and what you are paying for. Nightly disturbances from staffing quarters into the early morning (stayed in villa 407). No locks on the bathroom or toilet doors. Hot water in the tap & shower is extremely boiling hot. Toilet / Shower room on the lower floor in the 2 bedroom villas should have a solid divider as water gets everywhere."

"This was a 1 night stay prior to a longer booking, in a basic room. I was also here last year. Don’t be scared of a solo trip, the people are fantastic and you will be made to feel very welcome and not alone. The guests are hit and miss, some are a bit rowdy, some doing photo shoots the whole time but it’s easy to find some quiet space. Most are couples in their 30s. The rooms are soundproofed, I stayed on a top floor and couldn’t hear any neighbours which was a relief, food is fantastic but large portions. All inclusive is a must so that you can relax and let the wonderful people bring you drinks and snacks. I had a wonderful massage to start my trip, and a meal in the lovely Greek restaurant. Outside gym has some really cool equipment. I think the resort is non smoking, which is a relief as many Greek people smoke (there are mostly English people here), there are a lot of vapers. I travel to 5 star hotels for work, and I cannot say enough good things about the staff here, they are without exception friendly and helpful and in a resort like this, they make the difference between a 5 star trip and a less decent holiday. I will definitely return next year. I also stayed in the grand bungalow which was easily the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. I’d advise anyone to book a swim up room at least, to avoid sunbed wars at the pool. "
