"The staff were lovely and couldn't have been better. Our room had a bathroom across the hall which opened with a key. A little strange and not great for a 3am wee. We ate here and the food was ok."

"Check-in and check-out were very smooth. The room was spotless and the amenities were excellent, including the well-stocked small fridge with food and snacks. The weather was exceptionally cold during our stay, and unfortunately the small heater wasn’t quite enough to keep the room comfortably warm."

"Great pub/hotel/bistro in a beautiful peaceful village. Staff were extremely helpful. We had a wedding with so needed an early check-in and late return. Both were accommodated for. Room was clean, fresh. Continental breakfast was included in price. We also paid extra for cooked b/fast. Very nice freshly cooked, hot, good quality products. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend the Star Inn and stay there again. Or even go for a nice meal. Give it a go ! "

"We had an amazing stay, gorgeous shepherds huts in a lovely location. So nice to have the pub nearby! We stayed during the heatwave and our hut was particularly hot, the staff were so nice to prepare another more shaded hut for us for our second night, we really appreciated the gesture! Highly recommend!"

We were in the rooms on the square, which were well maintained, clean and additional equipment such as iron/ironing board (but no hairdryer) were provided. It was a heatwave weekend and fans were provided in the rooms. We had drinks in the evening, and breakfast at the pub in the morning, which was excellent. "Nice location , price and ambiance BUT I had three simple questions when I checked in. The receptionist knew the answer to none of them ( had to check ) : would there be coffee in the morning ? Answer No, not til the restaurant opened at 830 am !!!( Old COFFEE Inn ?!? ). Was the restaurant still open ( closing at 8pm ...didn't know what they were serving ). Would the 8pm World Cup match be shown ? ( Mind you there was a sign out front advertising it ). NO, they only put the TV on for England...
