Übernachtungen auf dem Strom

Für die Besichtigung von Wittenberg hatten wir 2 Übernachtungen eingeplant und diese auf dem Hotelschiff "Junker "Jörg" gebucht. Das Schiff war gut erreichbar und es standen ausreichend Parkplätze zur Verfügung.

Great place to stay!

This boat sails up and down the river part of the year and is at a dock the rest of the year as a hotel. It was great - rooms are small, as to be expected on a boat/ship, but were very clean. Rooms on one side have a really nice view of the water. There's a nice lounge area as well as the dining room. Breakfast was fantastic. Not really walking distance from the city, but staff were friendly and helpful and told us where we could park. Highly recommend.

Mal auf einem Flußkreuzfahrtschiff übernachten.

Ein Flußschiff als Hotel? Tolle Idee!!!! Schiffsatmosphäre und Hotelkomfort. Da nimmt man gerne die, im Vergleich zu einem "normalen" Hotel, kleinen Kajüten in Kauf. Kurze Wege und ein tolles Restaurant.

Adresse bei Expedia falsch. Daher erst gesucht. Vom Centrum durch die Verlegung des Schiffes viel weiter entfernt. Frühstück gut.

The Junker Joerg in Wittenberg, Germany

We stayed in a room that must have been above the engine area of the ship. The exhaust was pretty bad. We had to leave our windows closed which disappointed us greatly. Otherwise, the stay on the Junker Joerg was very good. We enjoyed the staff and the service was quite good.

Das Hotelschiff und die Umgebung sind perfekt geeignet entspannte Tage zu verbringen. Das Hotel bietet den guten 4*Standard. Der Service ist aufmerksam und höflich. Auf Deck sind Liegestühle und Decken vorhanden für kühle Abende. Das Frühstücksangebot ist vielfältig und sehr gut.

Trevligt men svårhittat hotell på en båt.

Kul att bo på en båt på Elbe, små hytter med rent och snyggt, allmänna utrymmen väldigt trevliga, främst övre däck. Bra frukost. Si och så med engelskakunskaper bland personalen. Lite väl långt till centrum. Dilemmat handlade om att överhuvudtaget hitta hotellet/båten. Markerat läge på kartan på hotels.com var uppenbart fel, för i så fall hade båten legat på torra land1 km från floden. Angiven adress var inte sökbar men via en annan hotellsite gick den att hitta. När jag kom dit fanns däremot ingen båt/hotell på den platsen heller men den hade legat där tidigare vilket framgick av skyltar. Det blev till att fråga sig fram och efter några försök visade det sig att båten/hotellet flyttat ca 800 meter längre från centrum och låg ute i Elbe istället för i den gamla hamnen. Att råka hitta platsen via enkelriktade gator och omvägar skulle vara i princip omöjligt. Jag har haft goda erfarenheter av hotels.com genom åren men det totala ointresse av att hjälpa till med att faktiskt lokalisera båten/hotellet där uppgifterna hotels.com angav alldeles uppenbart var galna (vilket jag ringde och påpekade och försökte få hjälp med två gånger) gör mej fortfarande irriterad. Ett försök att ringa hotellet (även telefonnumret i bokningsbekräftelsen var fel) landade hos en telefonsvarare som bara pratade tyska. En mindre van resenär skulle nog blivit ganska stressad.

Das etwas andere Hotel im Wasser

Für große Menschen ist sind die Betten schmal und kurz und die Decken niedrig, aber dies ist keine Negativkritik, da man es auf einem Schiff so erwartet. Die Crew ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und es wird viel Wert auf Frische gelegt. Der momentane Liegeplatz (Goldener Anker) ist leider etwas weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Ideal ist das Hotelschiff für Radwanderer.

Great breakfast, helpful staff!

The Junker Jorg was a fun stay for us. The room was tiny, but clean, and the breakfast was exceptional! Staff were great hosts, one even helping us carry in our luggage from the car. Biggest problem was finding the place. The hotels.com directions took us miles away, and we only found it with the help of a local gas station clerk.

Leuk alternatief voor een 'gewoon' hotel.

De ligging is ideaal aan de Elberadweg waardoor je binnen 5 minuten naar het historisch centrum fietst. Wel was er verwarring over de ligplaats die anders was dan aangegeven in de reservering waardoor er een zoektocht ontstond. Het schip lag ca. 500m. verderop.
