Art was super helpful from the second of our arrival to our departure. He helped provide a wonderful memory. The next time I travel to that area - I'm staying there!
The Inn is very cozy and comfortable. Art was very hospitable and really took care of us. The morning breakfast was freshly made and tasted awesome.
My only negative comment is that there are not many places to eat that are walkable, and most close very early. There is a nice steak/chop house next door but closes at 8:00 pm.
The Inn of the Shenendoh was a fabulous place to stay. We were greeted by Art as we arrived and he was very thorough in walking us through everything and making sure the accommodations were acceptable. Art provided good suggestions on local restaurants and activities. A wonderful place to stay.ad
Spent 2 nights here over Memorial weekend. As soon as we arrived Janina warmly welcomed us and showed us to our room. We stayed in the Turret suite, which had a king size bed, jacuzzi, and a separate reading/tv alcove.
The jacuzzi was an enjoyable detail after a long day of hiking. There are bath salts provided as well.
Janina cooked us breakfast each morning and we enjoyed the hearty breakfast before our hikes. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay near Shenandoah.
What a lovely Inn! Beautiful, inviting with old world charm, character and good location! Our host was so cheerful, helpful, and offered gracious hospitality!
Janina and Matthew were the perfect hosts. We quickly felt like old friends. The Inn was just what we were looking for and was the perfect base of operations for exploring Shenandoah National Park (Skyline Drive) and the surrounding valley area. Lurray was a friendly and quaint village. The inn was historic, architectural pleasing, clean, and breakfast was consistently excellent, including the conversations that helped up organize our day and appreciate the beautiful area that we were visiting. We will stay there again.
