Top class hotel in a great spot
The hotel is well positioned along the waterfront and within easy walking distance from the station (using the funicular to come down/up the hill). It has enormous charm and wonderful gardens. The room was terrific and breakfast was a great experience. Overall a wonderful stay in a top class hotel.

We stayed two nights and it was a fantastic place to stay! We loved having drinks on the front patio looking at the lake in the evening. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The best thing was the wonderful breakfast including eggs, ham, cheeses, yogurt, cereal and fresh bread and croissants. It was all very delicious and filling! Next time we are in Lucerne we are definitely going to stay here! Thanks for a great experience!

First the good—the hotel’s location is fantastic! Easy access to transportation, shopping and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet and had A/C. The bathroom was tiny and there is very little room for toiletries if more than one person is staying in the room. Only after we commented on the lack of coffee service did one show up (the next morning) and the hotel does not provide any additional amenities such as bottled water, shampoo/conditioner, etc. If you are simply looking for a place to sleep and not concerned with any of the rest, this is an okay place to stay.

I loved the place. I had a small room with balcony and lake view. There is a nice patio. The place is old fashioned with nice old style furniture. Very classy and nice decoration. It is an old well mantained building. Breakfast is abundant . Very good location, quite and fancy . Good price !

A wonderful hotel. Great location, staff were very helpful and the pool and garden area was a bonus. Lovely breakfast and do get your Ticino ticket from reception that gives you free bus travel and discounts for some attractions (Mount Bre)

Breakfast had a good variety of foods and in very nice surroundings. Free coffee all day. Location is ideal. Staff helpful. Garden area and pool areas a bonus as well as public sitting areas. Overall enjoyable except for a slightly higher price.

Really nice stay. Comfortable beds, good breakfast. Friendly staff throughout the hotel. The only minor criticism related to the non-functioning air conditioning. We were told that it hasn't been switched on because it had been cooler earlier in the week, but this meant that the room was rather too warm overnight.

I give this 3 star property 5 stars. I was a little hesitant in booking this hotel at first because it is a 3 star hotel and I usually do 4 stars and above & honestly the pictures online did little to entice me. I booked this hotel purely for its convenient location by my son’s school b/c he recommended it. Was I pleasantly surprised. This is not a big it fancy hotel but it is definitely full of old world charm. The hotel is definitely older but so well kept. The staff were courteous, friendly and warm. I was enjoying my stay so much I returned again to the same hotel to see my son again. If you like modern style of course this hotel is not for you. But otherwise, the location and the breakfast and the free local transportation tickets are awesome! Very close to et he train station and bus stops too:) highly recommend.

Leider nur für eine Nacht. Konnten also den Pool nicht besuchen. Wäre aber für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt auch geeignet. Das Doppelzimmer (bergseitig) eher klein aber wenn man darin nur übernachten will, genügt es durchaus. Die Lage im Zntrum direkt an der Seepromenade perfekt.

Situation de rêve à Lugano
Idéalement situé, face au lac de Lugano, et aux portes de la vieille ville. Cet hôtel a une âme, une histoire : géré depuis 5 générations par la même famille. Excellent service. Idem pour la propreté. Très belle terrasse et piscine. Petit-déjeuner très complet. Chambre petite et un peu sombre. Salle de bain correcte, mais dans son jus.

Mooi hotel met een geschiedenis direct aan het meer van Lugano. Neem een kamer met meerzicht (kamernummer eindigend op 19 of 20 en je hebt een prima balkon mer mooi uitzicht. In de weekenden is de weg voor het hotel savonds afgesloten, dus ideaal om te flaneren. Een aanrader is de autolift in de parkeergarage van het hotel. Wij hadden dit nog nooit gezien
