"It would be nice if real people left real reviews. This property is located in a small town with under 5 hotel businesses. I traveled 14 hours for a family members funeral and was very disappointed upon arrival to this facility. It was infested with bugs. The clerk at the desk kept saying I can give you another room as if bugs don't travel. I asked the desk clerk to cancel my reservation and he refused. I did not stay here and was charged for the reservation even after trying to cancel the reservation. DO NOT STAY HERE!"

"Look, historic inn does not mean charming. In this case it was overdecorated, old and musty, mildewed bathtub, unable to control the temperature in individual rooms, not 24 hour staff to consult and a non attended supposedly continental breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone."

"Thw reason I gave the crappy rating is because the towels were grayishand not bright white like we've all come to expect at hotels. The lady that worked the evening to night shift seemed annoyed when we arrived and unfortunately set the tone. I was so in disbelief about the towels I had to ask for more but by this time the overnight person was there and yup you guessed it, he was also annoyed. I guess something was broken cause he mentioned something about something but anyway when I told him the see he literally blank stared me for a sec. He did give them to me though. The morning person and the person in the breakfast are pretty much made up for it since they were soooooo pleasant. My daughter had such a good time with the lady in the breakfast area and it really set the tone for the rest of the day. THANK YOU! I wrote this review because Stevie could have seen those towels should have been removed from service but they weren't and they had the nerve to be annoyed with me. Do better Hampton."

"I really wanted to love this place. It is a great idea and concept but the execution leaves much to be desired. And, frankly, for the price, I expected way more! First, there is no one on site which is fine IF the code we were given had worked on the door. It did not. I called all of the numbers listed and left voicemails, I text, I sent messages through messenger and via Hotels.com. It took Amber almost an hour to call me back. Then, the master/generic code she gave didn’t work either. We were then told to move across the hall to another unit. We were finally able to get into the new unit. The pictures are exactly as shown and the unit is unique and charming. However, there were issues. First, the floor is filthy. And, I made the mistake of looking under the bed which I don’t think has ever been cleaned. The bed is not comfortable and the sheets don’t fit properly. I think they were meant for a smaller bed. As for towels, we were given 2 regular size; 2 hand; and, 1 wash cloth. That was not enough and they smelled. We went to Walmart and bought our own towels and wash cloths. We were not given enough toilet paper either and what was in the bathroom was terribly cheap one ply. We were able to get one extra roll from a lady who was at the property on Saturday apparently cleaning a vacant unit. Next, the thermostat did not appear to work. Many other things that I can (hopefully) list later."
