"We loved Ashford Castle. It was also the only hotel across Ireland that we had excellent internet access. Our request for improvement would be the Cullens Cottage restaurant. The food was average. My strip steak and husband's lamb were both tough. The desserts were also fair at best. Not everyone wants to dress formally to go to dinner. That should not preclude a decent meal. Breakfast was excellent."
"The hotel is beautiful and staff so so friendly. Dinner was a touch disappointing, a few of us didnt find it great but possibly just down to a matter of taste. Breakfast was brilliant with a lovely selection.
I would return again ❤️"
"At first were disappointed there were no hotels rooms available directly in Galway, but I'm so glad it worked out that way! The hotel is beautiful , staff were friendly, and the view on the beach was amazing. Parking was really easy and we found a restaurant close by called O'Grady's on the Pier which was a 5 min drive from the hotel and had 10/10 food and ambiance.
Our room was 7.5/10, there was no AC and it smelled a bit musty. We kept our ground floor patio door open as much as possible which helped. The room was also a bit dusty, sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom shower didn't have a glass door that closed just a partition which wasn't ideal. The shower did have great pressure and was nice and hot. Overall, I'm really glad we chose this hotel and would come back."
"Our room was a bit loud because it faced the courtyard pool. It definitely echos.
Our room wasn’t service for towels but maybe we missed putting a sign out? Not sure.
Overall good experience."
"There was nobody there to check in.A notice was posted on the door to call someone as it turned out it was the owner who was in Dublin. No brekfast was available. The TV in the room was not functional.A lady later appeared at my door pleasant and understanding but unable to correct anything.I did not stay there I left and found accommodation elsewhere. Also there were renovations afoot not finished. The place looks nothing like it's web site.It was unbelievable to me that the proprietor or a designated manager were not there."
"Super lovely property in a quiet small town with fabulous owners! They were so helpful & kind. The beds were the best & the pillows were awesome! Lots of room too! Their homemade breakfast bread & jam, granola, yogurt were the best! All before the main breakfast cooked to order! Highly recommend!"
