The property was clean and well maintained. The parking, although an additional $12 a night, was secure and very easy to access. The location was perfect for visiting our family in Elysian Heights. The price was reasonable. That being said, the walls and windows were thin, the passing traffic and restaurant and it's patrons in the parking lot were loud, and the guests above us and in the hallway were stomping around all hours of the night. We would not have gotten any sleep if not for having a white noise machine on full blast. One queen mattress was uncomfortable, but the other was horrendous. Think, free curbside college dorm room Ikea futon. Luckily, our 6 year old was small enough to curl up in the chair. And the only way I can describe the pillows is akin to balling up socks and shoving them in a tiny feed sack. We used folded towels instead. I've never encountered the like in any stay, anywhere. Breakfast was identical the three mornings of our stay. Powdered eggs, sausage, waffles, bagles and cream cheese, coffee and tea, and some assorted cereals and oatmeal. Basic, but a step up from continental. Our son loved the waffles.
We would stay here again for the price, parking and cleanliness. But, be warned, bring your own pillow and a sound machine!
