"The room was clean and well presented in a pretty idyllic location. Quite and not very looked. Local pud was within a 10 minute walk and they served great food. The pud overlooked a river and in the summer months there seating available to be able to sit along side the river. We were provided with tea, coffee and biscuits. "A really pleasant stay overall. The room was generously sized, clean and well presented, and breakfast was a good spread to set you up for the day. Finding the entrance on arrival was a little tricky, though that's more a familiarity thing than a reflection on the place itself. Would happily return and recommend."

"This was an excellent find. We stayed 1 night in the “attic” room, which met all our needs. The entry instructions and directions to the property were also very clear. An added bonus was the local pub “The Torbay”, which was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday. The food was great. The self serve continental breakfast was fine. Liked the quirkiness of the room, would stay again"

"I was disappointed to find that despite what it said on the Hotels site the Red Lion did not organise parking if you phoned. I had to park 5 minutes walk away and thankfully it was not raining too hard. With no food at the pub food choices were a little limited but luckily there is a very good take away pizza shop 50 metres away. The breakfast I had was very good so no problems with that."
