"Quinta Atlantis is a beautiful space that makes you feel right at home. The craftsmanship of the wood is amazing and the fireplace is awesome. A great place for solo or couple travelers in the hills of Povoacao. You’ll spend time with the dog Laika and the cat Pluto who are very friendly, but will give you space as well. Breakfast is the best you’ll get on the island. Fruit, eggs, fresh Jam, yogurt, vegetables and hummus. I will surely stay there next time I’m on Sao Miguel."

"We spent an amazing week at the Santa Barbara Eco-Lodge! We were a group of 4 women (mom and 3 adult daughters). We had a beautiful suite overlooking the gardens and pond with ducks. The staff was amazing attending to every question we had. The resort is high on a cliff overlooking the ocean and beach with stunning views and beautiful sunsets. "Don't be fooled. This resort does not have a spa or spa services as advertised on expedia. However, apart from that, it was a lovely hotel."

"Location is 20 minute walk to the centre square. A few great restaurants around within a ten minute walk. Lovely coastal walk across the road. Staff was super friendly and the whole check-in/out process was easy. Our room had a wonderful view of the ocean."
