"Room was large and clean with a bath and shower. The hotel is in a beautiful village next to the river and many lovely walks. Evening meal was excellent, as was breakfast. All the staff were great with Naomi going above and beyond."

Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. "Breakfast at the white hart was excellent with a good choice, service was also excellent. Good choice of ales at the bar with the food being exceptional, best in Hawes. Rooms lovely and roomy with plenty of hot drink choices also bottles of water. Bathroom very clean with good shower. In a nutshell we couldn't have got better in Hawes."
