"Overall a very good value place to stay, and as long as you know the place’s limits in advance you can plan round them. A bit on the basic side (no desk in the room, no towels, no dedicated wifi (something cloudy that didn’t work on 4th floor, so I tethered iPad to phone). toilet and shower a bit “military grade” but the price point was exceptional. "Clean room good breakfast Room had no window to look out of only sky light. Shower only, broken shower holder so had to hold with one hand while showering. No extractor fan in toilet and no window tried to change room but non available glad it was only 2 nights"

"Peter and Sheila were wonderful hosts. They gave us ideas of where to eat and places to see. Breakfast was very good and enjoyable with them providing information about the area. If we return to the Northumberland area we will definitely return there to stay again."
