"Beautiful property and convenient to airport. I stayed there my last night in Edinburgh. Setting is peaceful and lovely. Only downside was that there was mildew in the caulking in the bathtub/shower, which was surprising given that the rest of the property was well maintained."

"We stayed for just one night so we’re not able to enjoy the full experience. The weather was unusually warm so we upgraded to a room with AC. The AC didn’t really cool the room so we ultimately had to open the slider to cool the room. Our experience would likely have been more enjoyable if we had stayed longer and didn’t have to utilize AC."

"Nice property, modern feeling. The room was a good size, comfortable bed. The hallways were hot and the carpet had a bleach spot. Some of the woodwork needs to be touched up with paint. The bathroom sink drained quite slowly. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The bar area and restaurant were very good. The Sunday roast was excellent and reasonably priced for the quality. The location was convenient to walk everywhere, but there is climb to get to New Town. Overall, I’d stay there again,"

"The grounds are beautiful and historic and when we drove up I had high expectations for the interior. I would not consider it anywhere near a 4 star hotel. The room was in a poor state, and paint was chipping from every surface, and the carpet was split down the center of the room creating a crater, in addition to being frayed and shredded. "The property was in a great location and the concierge staff was particularly helpful. The room was quite warm and we weren’t told about the air conditioning in the room. Besides that, everything was good. The hallways were dark."
