"We stayed a night while walking the Great Glen Way. It is literally on the route. Very welcoming and comfortable. Good breakfast. Ate dinner at the Glenmoriston Arms which was very good. "
"A unique, high quality property, quiet and serene, the location is beautifully set in the mountains and lakes of the Highlands. In house fine dining, the food, presentation and service are very well done. A great base to explore the area or just relax and decompress in the natural beauty. "
"A wonderful hotel in an absolutely beautiful location! Christian made us feel very welcome indeed. The highlight of the stay, though, was definitely dinner which rivaled the very best restaurants this foodie has experienced in 40+ years of travel!"
"This used to be a hunting lodge so it looks exactly like a lodge, with lots of wood.
It is by the loch with a magnificent view from the restaurant terrace.
Unfortunately no lift to go upstairs so it was a bit difficult for my wife.
The restaurant food was good but seemed pre-prepared so they can’t adjust the dishes.
Breakfast was a buffet with good choice and good ingredients.
The bedroom was quiet, comfortable with a great shower.
We also appreciated the complimentary tea in the...
"The view from our room was unbeatable! The breakfast was fabulous! The room was clean, plenty of room, and nice amenities. Owners were very welcoming. Loved this visit!"
"The glamping pods were beautiful and decently sized. The comunal toilet and shower area was kept clean and tidy. Over all it was a lovely experience. Only concern was that my 4 year old had to be restrained at all times either inside the pod, in pushchairs or in reigns as the edge of the land at entry to our pod was a steep slope, ideally this could be fenced off. When we first arrived, as a family, i mentioned to my mum that this place would be a lovely romantic getaway for a weekend however...
"A really convenient stay prior to a day’s climbing. The cafe serve evening meals and the food was really good, pleasant staff and a nice atmosphere. "
"This place is quite charming with exceptionally friendly staff. The food is wonderful. We have now stayed at this hotel twice and look forward to visiting again. "
"The Maclean Guest House was in a very convenient spot within Fort William. It was an easy walk to get to the main commercial street, yet far enough away to have easy parking. The facilities were very nice. The only negative is that the hot water in the showers did not work for more than one minute in either room my group booked. "
"Although this property is small, the people running it are big hearted.
We were driving from Isle of Skye on a very stormy day when we received message from Mark and Louisa to inform us that we could checkin earlier as they did not want us to be waiting in the storm until checkin time. We were quite touched by the gesture.
The free parking was very convenient. The room was clean and well decorated. The toilet + shower were modern and comfortable.
Excellent breakfast with homemade everything....
"Got exceptionally lucky to book last minute thanks to a very rare cancelation at this amazing place. The superior double with balcony room was perfect. Massive room with a nice large balcony and French doors made it a wonderful place to sit in the evening. Every detail was thought out, including a small citronella candle and lighter on the patio table so you could enjoy an evening having a nice drink enjoying the view and breeze. For anyone lucky enough to stay during one of Scotlands rare...
