"It was an okay stay. We had a lot of issues with getting the owners to honor the Expedia booking. We also had issues with our Expedia payment not being accepted by the accoms, so we had to spend time getting a refund from Expedia and re-paying at the accoms. We had booked three nights in a triple room with breakfast through Expedia for a specific price but when we arrived we were given a basic room (with one less bed) and a non-working shower head (water was just coming out of a pipe). When we enquired about breakfast the next morning, we were told the rate we paid didn't include breakfast.
The owners were kind enough to refund the second and third nights as we could not come to an agreement with the down-graded room and lack of breakfast offered, however - it required lots of back and forth to get the right amount refunded (i.e. 2/3 of what we paid) as I don't think they were on the same page with Expedia regarding the rate that was online (we paid less than their standard walk in rate through the Expedia booking). In the end, we did get the correct refund and was appreciative that we were able to check in late due to delays at the Nicaraguan border.
All in all, I would recommend if you are to book here to do so directly with them, and not through Expedia. As it does not seem they quite agree with what the platform offers."
"Great hotel. The room was beautiful as well as the direct view of the Cathedral across the street. The shower was hot, which was not my experience in Managua. I would stay here again. One note: you can hear noise from the street at night, so if you are a light sleeper, request a room not next to the street, but further inside."
