We stayed in the flint cottage which is separate from the main building, which was Lord Kitcheners temporary home while the main house was being renovated. The room was very pleasant, the bed was super comfortable. The only annoyance was there were bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower but they were all empty. We dined in the restaurant for evening and breakfast and afternoon tea and all the food...

"Expedia didn t mention that dogs were not allowed anywhere in the hotel apart from the rooms. The manager ended up allowing us to have breakfast in the room as well as a cooked breakfast which is not allowed normally in the room. The breakfast was ordinary. We asked for missing cups and never got them. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were not replaced in the bathroom on the second day and the cleaning was obviously fairly basic as we found a tablet (medecine) under the chest of drawers. The...

"We didn't have breakfast there. Bar offered a good choice of drinks. The extractor fan didn't work in the on suite but it was kept very clean. The stairs to the room were quite steep and the doors were very close together making it a little difficult to manoeuvre. The toilet was quite tall so shorter people may find their feet wouldn't touch the floor. The bed was very comfortable."
