Communication with Skykes Cottages was very process heavy tho - we received so many useless emails before the booking, then during the trip there was so many different people to talk to for every problem. "The property was in a fairytale house in a magical location. All the little extra touches - such as bathrobes and slippers. daily complimentary water, chocolate etc - were truly the icing on the cake. The staff showed a real pride in working at the Castle and truly helped to set the atmosphere. Check-in and out were brilliant. The restaurant was superb with a jaw-dropping view of the Castle and sumptuous breakfast. If you think I seem enthusiastic it is because I am!"

"The property is outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. This has got to be one of my all time fav hotels. And the spa was the cherry on top. I stayed in a manor luxe room - beautiful! The staff are busy, so don’t expect anything quick. Shambolic is a good way to explain the staffing! The lady behind the bar needs customer service training. Her huffing and puffing was not appreciated when ordering drinks. Above all, even with the shambolic faulty tower style staff I loved my stay!"
