"Very nice and clean bed and breakfast. We enjoyed our stay there this month and would go back next time we are in the Berkshires. Rooms are large and have all of the necessary amenities and good beds. Olia, the owner, is on the property daily and is quite helpful with suggestions of places to explore. She is very interested in taking care of the property and making sure that guests have all that they need. She is wonderful! I would say this is a 5* +rating except that future guests should know that this is an old historic building and windows cannot be opened and the floors do creek as would be expected from the age of the building."

"Our stay at the Lakehouse was fabulous--even though a cold and rainy weekend in May. I want to return to be able to take advantage of the kayaks on the beautiful Lake Laurel! Everything was perfect: lovely room, delicious breakfast, great location near Melville's house at Pittsfield and the Hancock Shaker Village, both amazing sites! Wonderful inn keeper and kind staff! GREAT!"
