"Comfortable, cosy and well-decorated bedroom. Nice evening meals available, although slightly limited for vegetarians and later eaters on Sundays outside of peak season, as the service stopped at 7pm. The bar staff did let me know though, so I didn't go hungry! Fantastic, fresh breakfasts with really good quality ingredients. Above all, the staff were amazing. As a solo, female traveller, I felt safe and well-cared for. Caroline particularly gave a personalised service and went above-and-beyond to ensure I was happy and comfortable during my stay. Wonderful!"

"Charming old building, with upgraded bathrooms and in-room heating. There are additional rooms available for guests to use and abundant outdoor seating. Roo.s are equipped with all necessary amenities. Shops, restaurants and walking trails are only minutes away."

"Staff at the hotel were warm and friendly. They couldn’t have done more to make us and our 2 dogs feel welcome. Breakfast was great. Food very fresh and plenty of choices. The hotel location is perfect and within easy reach of everything that Lynmouth and Lynton has to offer. We will definitely be returning. "

"Very friendly check in by Kevin, the proprietor. We had a ground floor room with countryside views which were lovely. It was so peaceful! The room was comfortable, well furnished and equipped to a good standard. Breakfast cooked by Kevin was excellent with generous, well cooked portions. The property is well placed to explore Lynton and a car is essential.Lynmouth but the information provided by Expedia is incorrect when it states that it’s only a seven minute walk to Lynton‘s cliff railway. The Exmoor Hotel is nearly three miles from Lynton."

"I needed a one night stay and this was ideal. The room was clean, the location a short stroll from the harbour area and parking a few yards away at reasonable cost. Full English Breakfast was just the job and set me up for the day!"

"Reception staff were friendly and helpful, especially when we arrived and helped us with our bags. The room was quite big and had a side sea view and it was lovely sleeping with the window open, listening to the sea. The room was very hot but better on second night as we'd left the window open all day. The room and bedding were clean. Room decor was very plain, could have done with a few pictures. As other reviews have said, hot water took a while to come through and even then, was fine for me but my husband prefers a hotter shower. Also, the water didn't drain away quickly enough. No food or bar available but we knew this beforehand. There are plenty of choices of cages, pubs and restaurants within 5-10 minites walk for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was excellent value for money bit bear in mind, the low price reflects the fact that decor could do with an overhaul. At this price though, we would definitely consider staying again."
