"This has been on my bucket list for some time. We had a wounderful 2 night stay and everything was perfect. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, larger than alot of hotel rooms. You lay in bed at night and could imagine your travelling on a train. The meal was excellent, Beef Wellington to die for, so good and wonderful surroundings in a 1906 Pullman car exquisitely restored. The staff were brilliant and extremely helpful. Alot of history tied up in this place."
"Great hotel with pub and restaurant, in a tudor building from the 1700s. The staff were excellent, super friendly and gave me a lot of information about the area, things to do. Only drawback is that due to the age of the building there was a bit of noise from other rooms"
"The room we booked was massive and the bed really comfy .The staff were lovely and the breakfast was really good and the dinner we had on the 1st night was all homemade and really good we definitely reccomend"

"A bit of an issue with the booking and whether breakfast was included or not. Advertised as free continental breakfast for all rooms, only to be told on arrival it wasnt included. Used the Expedia agent on the app to query, with screenshots. Breakfast hamper came about 15 mins later. Other than that, all good. Would stay again."

"Really enjoyed our stay in early September this year. Quiet, clean and lovely decor. Staff.friendly and helpful. Fab breakfast. It’s located at the bottom of the town so easy to walk to the wetlands wildlife reserve and for exploring "
"We had a fantastic stay, including our dog, she enjoyed all the facilities and high level care given to us all. Never have we stayed anywhere so dog friendly but still had high standards. Staff were friendly, attentive and food was good.
We had spa treatments which were excellent and enjoyed the spa facilities too. The wonderful walks around the Goodwood estate.
Our only criticism was breakfast on the last day of our stay, it was much quieter after a very busy bank holiday but food wasn’t so...
"My friend and I were looking for a base to explore the historic towns, houses and gardens of this area, and struck lucky with this hotel. We were impressed by the pleasantly relaxed atmosphere, the quality of the food, the variety of dining and bar areas and the comfortable, well-maintained and quiet rooms (no audible traffic noise). Staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended. "

"Easy to find with plenty of parking, arrived early but wasn’t a problem shown to our room by the landlady which was larger than expected with plenty of room it was of a high standard very fresh looking and clean! Extra pillows found , and had a selection of tea and coffees and had delish quality biscuits! Bathroom was a good size with fresh smelling towels ready and good quality shower gel and conditioner
Evening meal and breakfast were of a high standard
A very pleasant relaxed atmosphere...
