"Hotel Edelweiss was a great place for our four-night stay in Murren. Staff were helpful in recommending the more intensive hikes we were looking for (shout out to the gentleman working breakfast and the front desk), and the views from the hotel are unbelievable. Given the price point and how terrific everything else was, the downsides for us were the freshness and quality of the breakfast. The only "hot" food item is the option to boil an egg yourself--I don't mind the limited hot item menu, but the hotel could at least boil the eggs for us to save us the 10 extra minutes it takes to do so on our own. Also, the breads and fruit were not always fresh (or were overripe), the muesli was the least tasty among all of our stays in Switzerland, and the yogurt was consistently runny (unlike at other stays). Despite my comments on food, I would consider staying here again if we return to Murren."
