Great staff. Older but and clean hotel with decent size rooms with small balcony. They were going through renovations when we were there in winter 2026 and the elevator was out of service but staff offered to take our luggage up the stairs.

Our stay was great! The hotel is right next door to a Metro stop. Easy to get to the main train station (2 stops north) and the lake (2 stops south). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Best of all, the room had air conditioning, as it was very hot while we were there!

Lovely boutique hotel. Our room had a balcony. Conveniently next to the Metro which is underground here so not noisy. Our room pretty, but small; only one foot between bed and desk/tv stand and barely adequate on sides. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very conveniently located next to the metro but it was a four minute downhill walk from the train station. It was also a very fast few minutes walk down to Ouchy and the lake. A few steps away was a cafe and a Migros market. The room was very nicely decorated and had a fridge and equipment for making coffee. It was quiet at night. Within two to four blocks there were many great cafes and restaurants to choose from. We loved Cafe Grancy and the Sleepy Bear cafe had great coffee and croissants. The staff of the Carlton were exceptional! Very efficient check in and very thorough on information. Really appreciated that. They also gave us free transit travel cards and it was very easy to get around. I would stay here again and recommend it to others without hesitation

The hotel was located in an excellent part of the city and was very easy to travel due to the metro located next to the hotel. The hotel itself is comfortable, It’s old but needs a bit of refreshing. The staff were very courteous. Overall we had a good stay.

We had a comfortable room with a small balcony from which you see the lake. The hotel is located very close to the metro and you get a free pass so can easily jump on and off.

Initially our room was tiny with no closet or drawers, but they did move us into one with closets and things were better. Location is great for accessing the metro.
