Jin Jiang Sun Hotel is relatively old compared to other hotels in Lanzhou. For the price paid, the hotel is a decent option for a quick business trip to Lanzhou.
The breakfast buffet has the best representation of the region's famous flavors. The handmade beef noodles soup (not too spicy), the cold jelly noodles w shredded cucumber, the stewed tomato n eggs, and of course everyone's favorite bacon and eggs and all the fixins.
Even though there was a language barrier the staff always had someone on hand with English to assist. The security staff helped alot with the many many buskers.
Good check-in late at night with efficient staff (one good English speaker each shift); attractive lobby, comfortable clean room, bed and shower, good breakfast - would recommend it as an excellent downtown location (across the street from the airport bus shuttle station) and a good price. Would recommend having a pre-reserved transfer vehicle/driver to meet you in the airport for the 43-mile drive to the city of Lanzhou.
Excellent hotel on main street, but very quite.
I had a room on the 20th floor on the side away from the street (south side) with a nice view to the surrounding hills.
Very quiet room and very spacious
Airconditioning was not as cold as I would have liked, but otherwise a great place to stay
Buffet breakfast was excellent - many choices of Chinese and other cuisines
