"Staff were helpful room was pleasant with good WiFi. When staying was told there was a pool night but couldn't hear anything from below good stay now been here on 3 occasions never had any issues"
"Booked room only in a "Very good" room, which i would probably describe as good. The pictures online make it look a lot bigger. We travelled in the heatwave, and the small window in the rooms only opened a few inches. There was a small fan provided, but for me, it just moved the hot air. Due to the heat, I didn't get much sleep. Also at 6am on Monday morning, the bin men came, crashing, banging and emptying the bottle bin at 1000 decibels.
Prior to arrival, I rang to request a parking space as a blue badge holder. The lady I spoke to said they had a space, but it was about 40 steep steps down to the hotel. She explained there was a pay and display car park up the road, on the flat.
On arrival, we went to the hotel car park, and wow, she wasn't wrong. I took a while to get down the steps, but knew there was no way I would be getting up them. On check in, the lady I spoke to took us to see an accessible room, but it was quite small and dark, so stuck with our original room, up two flights of stairs, no lift due to the age of the property. On departure, I found it easier to exit the hotel, and walk the route to the car park along the main street. Uphill, but no steps.
All in all, if you have any mobility issues this isn't the place for you, however the lady on check in went over and above to find the most suitable room, and even offered to carry our bags. We did not eat at the hotel. I'd give it a 7 out of 10."
"The room was perfect for an overnight stay. It was comfortable and clean. The staff were good and sorted out an issue with Expedia. There was a good choice at breakfast and the food was freshly prepared. "
"Exceptional Stay – Best in the Area! Our family had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I cannot remember their names, but the receptionist and the staff member who helped us find parking were incredibly friendly and helpful. We have stayed at several other hotels in this same area, but the staff service and overall cleanliness here are far superior. We highly recommend this property and will definitely return."
"Good family room. Excellent shower as this room has been updated. Perhaps it is time to update decor in the hotel rooms as it felt like we were stepping back into the 1980s. However, for the price it was a good. The size room with everything you could need. Quiet room but could do with a fan or a/c"
"We loved our stay at Gwesty. Marine and would certainly recommend it. A lovely position on the sea front and beautifully refurbished traditional Welsh seaside hotel. The breakfast was excellent too."
