Lake Tekapo is a very small town drawing tourists to the beautiful lake. The Godley Hotel is a wonderful spot to rest, get a meal, enjoy a drink, and visit the other restaurants and shops. Their restaurant is open early and later than many others nearby. But note their laundry facility is not available later in the evening. Arrive in Lake Tekapo in the early afternoon to take advantage of all it and this hotel have to offer.

The location was great and the facilities like the surrounding area and restaurant were very good! The room itself was just okay. The mattress was very hard and the shower water pressure was really low. The view from the balcony was really nice but hard to enjoy because the balcony is shared with all the rooms and there’s no furniture out there. Check in, check out and parking were easy.
