Das Gym war zwar mit mehr Geräten ausgestattet als das man von einfachen Hotels gewöhnt ist, war aber auch arg in die Jahre gekommen. Auch war alles in ein kleines Zimmer gequetscht. "I once enjoyed this specific motel 6 but on this last trip, it seems it has gone down in quality since the last time I was here. The room felt humid and felt as if everything was sticky and damp, we saw a couple bugs, and the kiosk to check in and check out seems like such a waste of money for the establishment, money that could have gone to helping keep the rooms maintained and clean."

"The name “Hotel Avenida” is a scam. This is actually a Rodeway inn renamed as a hotel. The front attendant told me that the owner changed the name from Rodeway inn to Hotel Avenida because it would be”better for business”. I don’t even know if that legal but might as well book a motel 6 if you’re looking to book a cheap motel. The rooms weren’t new either the pictures are deceiving. "The property is at the Dana Point Harbor. One side has a view of the parking lot, the other side a view of the boaters’ parking lot and boats in the harbor. It’s a nice hotel for a short stay, nothing fancy but nice location and within walking distance of Proud Mary’s for a great breakfast and Wind and Sea for a nice Happy Hour or dinner."
