The staff said I had a meal and was billed to my room when I didn’t. I had to pay for a meal neither my guest nor I had.

I didn’t like the fact that this is the second time I am staying at the hotel
The first time I booked a superior room and was told that is a standard hotel room.
The second time I booked a double superior spending more on Expedia and was also told at check in that double superior and superior are the same thing as standard I room whilst checking in.
Very disappointed.
The building was falling apart I had to be moved three times. The smell was very nasty, I needed to ask twice for my shower to get cleaned. A random person kept knocking on my rooms door until I told her she had the wrong room. The manager forgot to lock my door and I walked into the room without a key after going for a meeting for over 7hrs. The list goes onnnn. On my last day I had to speak to the General Manager he was nonchalant about the whole experience. It seems to be a common feedback. He did however waive my room upgrade fees. I hope to be back next time provided major renovation are completed on the rooms and amenities. Other than that the staffs are excellent especially Ufoma at the reception, she is fabulous!!! And it is a great location for businesses.
Hotel refused to honor the reservation with the included breakfast that I paid for despite showing it to them and having a Rep from Hotels.com call them. Manager Rotimi lied and said we were given the booked room. Had to make Hotels.com do a 3way call and of course they found out he was lying. Room was advertised as king sized bed with breakfast and free WiFi. We were given a double bed and told no free breakfast. Day 3 of the 6 nights booked and they finally changed the room from a double bed to a bigger room but same sized bed. Room smelled of mold, toilet was dirty but at this point we’ve had enough. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. Plus they don’t look like the pictures. Pictures are so deceiving and the staff is RUDE!!!!
For the price that this hotel charges, they provide very terrible services. First of all they did to find my booking and gave me a room lower than the one i paid for. Stayed for 5 days and no one bothered to correct this. The rooms are not the best, I had insects in my room every night, the only thing that worked was the hot water. Their breakfast is horrible, their restaurant food is crazy expensive and the entire hotel felt stuffy. Booked for 6 members of my company and every had sme complaints! This hotel needs a new management!
Rooms with mold and falling apart. Changed rooms 5 times. Food normally cold, rediculusly over priced, and bland.
Only good thing - staff very friendly.
Lot of mosquitoes, not clean. Room facing street so lot of noise.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Friendly staff but nickeled & dimed for everything
This is my second time staying there and there is always a maintenance issue - - either the AC not working, TV or the fridge in this case. They need to invest more of their money in maintenance. The food is also a little overpriced, and I don't like that the complimentary breakfast is only for one person in the room...in other countries if you get a complimentary breakfast it is for at least two guests, and in the US it's for all who inhabit the room.
I stayed here the second time in three months and I regretted my stay. First the rooms are a disappointment and maintenance seem low. For the brand you would expect more. The noise from the busy road distort the essence of a restful night here (I figure this may not be applicable to all the rooms in the hotel).
The breakfast is only for one person and that's not stated anywhere at the point of reservation. And the response of the dude who presented himself as manager was appalling.
However some of the staff are great and demeanor fantastic. We not be staying here any longer.
I was making a last minute search for a hotel in Lagos when I saw the Westwood Hotels on Hotel.com and decided to give it a trial. I was pleasantly surprised. I had a room on the ninth floor with a partial ocean view. The room was clean and the staff were exceptionally warm. I initially booked for one night but had to extend it to three more nights. The breakfast was good and the environment was calm. I had easy access to my place of meeting on the mainland through the 3rd mainland bridge. I enjoyed my trip and will definitely use the facility again on my next trip.

Lagoon View
Location of this tidy hotel is great with proximity and easy access to the business and entertainment districts. Only surprise was the 30 mins delay at the reception where payment through my charged Master card could not be confirmed. Staff were pleasant and appeared competent and my 2 nights stay went without any further discomfort.
Lift with capacity for 4 was small and uncomfortable even with only 2 inside. This is one of the smallest standard rooms I have ever stayed although room was clean and bed comfortable. Room service was prompt and staff pleasant. Lobby and waterfront bars have excellent views of the Lagos Lagoon and offered cosy relaxation in the evening. Nice bar was well stocked. I'll stay here again.
this was a very horrible service, the power went off several times and did not come back in good time. water unavailable in bath until very late, service generally poor
The location for business purposes was excellent and the customer service outstanding. The reception staff was very helpful in preparation of the stay and arranged airport transfer. The quality of Protea hotels is always satisfactory.
Not a nice hotel! Poor service, we had our room changed when we checked in as water from the air conditioning unit leaked unto the bed. The replacement rooms phone wasn't working, we reported this immediately and it took the management another day to get round to offering another room. The staff are poorly trained, service is very bad and as our consequence we didn't enjoy our short stay. My advice; Avoid this hotel!!
This was my first stay at this Hotel. I've stayed at other Protea Hotels in Abuja and so my expectations were pretty high. Overall, I would recommend it. I liked the location, one can get to either the Lagos mainland or Victoria Island without difficulty. The room was nice - I thought perhaps a shade below the Protea standard that I'm used to. A few things sort of niggled at me. For example the TV was to wide for the space where it was supposed to fit and so had to be slanted at an angle, and the room safe was not bolted down. The bed though was comfortable (which is really important to me) and the food in the restaurant was excellent - if the weather permits, make sure you seat outside because the hotel is right beside the Lagoon. The staff were friendly and helpful and responded very quickly when needed. The wifi worked which I cannot say for some other Proteas I've stayed at, so that was great. On a scale of 1 to 5, I'd give it a 3.5.
